WFA SERVICES & COSTS JULY 2015

WFA provides objective, professional reports on timber flooring. Reports are available to Homeowners, Builders, Insurance Companies or anyone requiring a professional assessment of a timber floor.

All members are entitled to 2 reports per year at a 25% discount, additional reports will be charged at full rate. New members should note that, to be eligible for the discounted report, there is a 3 month waiting period from time of joining. NB: A WFA report is an independent assessment based on standards and events

Flooring Report
This report is suitable for use in all formal and informal negotiations.
Inspection, discussion with all parties, written report. $800.00
Travel Not applicable in the metro area. For country inspections the travel fee is negotiable but 65 cents per kilometre for the return trip to and from Melbourne is indicative.
Expert Witness Statements Expert witness statement suitable for use in a VCAT hearing. $1350.00
Destructive floor testing Seldom required and only carried out with the client’s full permission. In conjunction with a report or expert witness statement. Added charge. $300.00
Appearance at VCAT 1 Day appearance at VCAT hearing.
Subsequent days at VCAT hearing (if more than 1 day required).

Inspection & Site Mediation This service is not suitable for any dispute that may end up with formal conciliation or a VCAT hearing. This service does not include a written report. $450.00
Site Testing for Moisture levels This is a reporting service for moisture levels only and is not a suitable stand-alone document for formal conciliation or at a VCAT hearing. $450.00
